TROY UPHOFF
District 11
Troy Uphoff of Findlay in Shelby County was elected to the state board of directors in 2005 to represent District 11, which includes Christian, DeWitt, Macon, Moultrie, Piatt, and Shelby counties. He serves on the Member Services & Public Relations Committee, and on the Agricultural Leaders of Tomorrow (ALOT) Committee.
Uphoff and his parents operate Uphoff Farms, Inc., a grain and livestock farm, producing corn, soybeans, wheat, and hogs and cattle.
He served as chairman of the Young Leaders Committee in 2002, has served on the GRITs Committee, and served as chairman of the Shelby County Farm Bureau Young Leaders Committee. Uphoff is a member of the 2006 Illinois Ag Leadership Program and serves as an aide on Ag Issues on Congressman John Shimkus’s Ag Advisory Committee
Uphoff is a member of the Illinois Corn Growers Association, the Illinois Beef Association and the Illinois Pork Producers Association. He was awarded Shelby County’s Pork Producer of the Year for 2002, was an IFB Achievement Award finalist for 2005 and Discussion Meet finalist for 1998 and 1999.
Uphoff received a bachelor's degree in ag economics from Illinois State University in 1997
Uphoff is a member and Trustee of the Findlay United Methodist Church.
